What happens after knee replacement surgery?
Recovery includes early mobilization, physiotherapy, pain management and follow-up assessment. The rehabilitation plan and progression of activity are individualized according to the patient's recovery and clinical condition.
What is the difference between Total and Partial Knee Replacement?
Total Knee Replacement replaces the damaged joint surfaces more extensively, while Partial Knee Replacement replaces only the affected compartment when the rest of the knee is suitable. The choice depends on the pattern and extent of knee disease and the patient's clinical assessment.
Do you perform robotic or computer-navigated knee replacement?
Yes. My clinical practice includes robotic and computer-navigated joint reconstruction. These technologies may be considered when appropriate for the patient's procedure and clinical requirements.
How do you decide whether a patient is suitable for Partial Knee Replacement?
Suitability depends on whether the knee damage is appropriately limited to a compartment and whether the remaining knee structures are suitable for a partial replacement. Clinical examination and imaging are used to determine the appropriate treatment.
What types of knee replacement surgery do you perform?
I provide evaluation and surgical treatment for patients who may require total or partial knee replacement. The appropriate procedure depends on the location and extent of knee damage, symptoms, imaging findings and overall clinical assessment.
